Monthly Community Update from Sgt Wilson – July 2026

Hello everyone, 

Below is the latest update from me regarding your area. 

🔍 Local Priorities 

Our current focus includes: 

The team have cleared a cannabis grow within the Radford area which helps to tackle drug crime. We have also disrupted a location with the equipment for a grow but they hadn’t put the plants in yet. If you have concerns that a location may be a cannabis grow, then please contact 101 or report online with the information you have. We can then look into this. 

Unfortunately, not all neighbours get on with each other and need our intervention. Where there’s evidence of offences being committed, we have dealt with them through out of court disposals to help prevent the behaviour. Where we cannot proceed with a criminal investigation, we have offered mediation services between neighbours. In some cases, we have issued community protection warnings to prevent further incidents which we can then take further if this warning is breached. 

Regarding theft from motor vehicles, we are conducting patrols across the 4 wards we cover. We are conducting enquiries to identify offenders and where we have the evidence, we are prosecuting them. 

From 21st July, PC Galloway will be replaced with PC Walker who will now be the designated neighbourhood officer for Radford. 

Other News

There have been a few burglaries at new build development sites recently. If you see any suspicious activity, then please contact us to help us to deter/apprehend offenders. 

The team have been supporting our response colleagues over the last couple of months due to the rise in demand. 

PCSO Davies is currently liaising with the mounted unit to assist us with patrols on our wards so keep your eye out for them passing by.
