Start with a friendly welcoming introduction

During the last week your neighbourhood PCSO has conducted both foot patrols and vehicle patrols. Half a dozen shoplifters have been positively identified and a vehicle involved in crime has been recovered from the streets. Local businesses have been visited and supported and intelligence of local criminal activities has been submitted.

  ·  Points to note 

Lock doors: Always lock your car doors and close all windows, even when parked at home.

Hide valuables: Take all bags, phones, and electronics with you or place them out of sight in the boot.

Never leave it running: Turn off the engine and take your keys whenever you step away from the vehicle.

Parking: if available, park in a well lit location such as under street lighting.

Extra Security: Consider other methods of securing your vehicle, an alarm, immobiliser, steering lock or tracker.
